Yellow Leggings Summer Recreation Camp will take place at the historic Yellow Leggings Campsite at the foot of the Wolf Mountains, 9 miles east of Lodge Grass. Free airport shuttle from Billings. Camp days will be Monday through Friday, morning through late afternoon. Must be at least 12 years old to participate.
Camp Activities:
*Hiking the Big Horn Mountains - topography, geography, mythology, mineralogy, mapping, compassing
*Traditional Native Games - archery, arrow throwing, shinny, hand-games, horseshoes
*Native Crafts - beading, chokers, dream catchers
*Float the Big Horn
*Story Telling
*Cook Native Foods - buffalo, venison, chokecherries, fry-bread, trout
*Tour - Little Bighorn Battlefield
*Special Crow Fair Week - pow-wow, rodeo, camp criers, camp traditions, erect a tepee
Fees: $150 per day per person. $750.00 per 5 day week and will include 5 nights lodging in Crow Indian tepees, 3 meals per day for 5 days, all transportation to and from Billings and field trips.
