Jackie's Spoon Lake Cabin - Columbia Falls

Jackie's Spoon Lake Cabin is situated in a very private setting on a secluded lake bordering the western boundary of Glacier National Park. With only a few cabins on one side of the lake, the cabin offers 4.5 acres of privacy, a beautiful view overlooking Spoon Lake & the National Forest with the opportunity to view the wildlife that make their home there.

Constructed of large rustic logs by traditional Amish methods, this cabin is loaded with lots of old west charm. One guest said it best when she asked, "Is this cabin listed on the Historic Registry?" The floor plan is spacious with a large living room and big stone fireplace, kitchen and dining on the main floor that open onto a large deck facing the lake and a covered porch on the other side. An eight-foot picnic table and barbecue on the deck are ideal for summer meals outdoors. There is one bedroom with a queen bed on the main floor, as well as a full bathroom and laundry with washer and dryer. The upstairs has a second bedroom with a double bed, a 2nd bath as well as a bunkroom with another double, a single and a bunkbed, to accommodate a total allowed of 9.

The cabin is well stocked with games, puzzles, books, foosball table, antique player piano, radio/CD/Cassette player and TV Monitor for playing DVDs and videos as well as large wall maps of Glacier National Park, lakes and trails. Many of the books are specifically of Glacier National Park, its history, the flora, fauna and the wildlife that make their home there.

The location is very peaceful yet feels quite remote, with only 8 miles from the conveniences of Columbia Falls town for restaurants, shopping, weekly Rodeo and a great Farmer's Market every Thursday eveningMay through September.

A 15-minute drive from our cabinarrives you at the gateway to the West entrance of Glacier National Park, where the Going to the Sun Road takes you up into "The Alps of America" for some of the most breathtaking road & scenery in the country from the "Going to the Sun Road".

Access to the North Fork River is less than 2 miles away at Glacier Rim River Access, the destination for great float trips from the north fork area. A sandy beach marks this spotgreat a beach day with the kids, fishing from shore, or a rafting trip from Trail Creek or Great Northern Flats. Several Columbia Falls vendors are available for raft rentals, stand-up paddle boards as well as mountain bikes and a couple fly shops can set you up for all your fishing needs as well as guides if needed.

We leave our canoe, as well as life jackets for our guests to experience all the wildlife and beauty of Spoon Lake. It's a great place, in a beautiful setting and we love to share it with our guests, friends and family. We are so pleased that we now are seeing 2nd generation guests, who once vacationed as children with their parents and now are returning with their own young families and grandparents, creating new cherished memories for the whole family.
