Darby Schools Excellence Fund Benefit Dinner and Auction on June 27, 2009 is an annual event to support our school district. It is a unique Montana experience with an old west style wagon train from the parking area through the working Rennaker Ranch. The scenery is picturesque from the majestic Bitterroot Mountain as backdrop to the wide open pastures and Bitterroot River that mark the wagon trail. A fine western barbecue awaits visitors with a choice of Ribeye steak or salmon filet as entree with all the extras that make for a full course dining experience. Wine, coffee and pop are provided and the meal is complete with decadent cakes for dessert.

Our guests may enjoy games, such as cowpie bingo and a silent auction as they gather at the event. Live music, provided by local musicians, completes this idyllic setting.

The auction takes center stage, following dinner, with locally made arts and crafts. Items have included a handmade saddle, local pottery, wood works and handmade blankets. Darby Schools Excellence Fund Benefit Dinner and Auction is located at the Rennaker Ranch on Old Darby Road in Darby Montana. To get there, turn east on Old Darby Road 5 miles north of Darby. Travel over the bridge and continue for 2.5 miles. Ranch entrance and parking area is on the left.
