This classic river of pristine beauty, located west of Glacier National Park, contains a native rainbow trout called the Columbia Redband, known for its exceptional strength and acrobatic fighting ability. Dave Blackburn, who has lived on the banks of the river since 1981, developed the first fly fishing guide service and fly shop on the river. Together with his personally trained and experienced staff, they will guide you on the Kootenai with its consistent hatches and exceptional dry fly fishing. The Kootenai Angler is available to outfit you with the latest ORVIS tackle. Fly fishing schools and non-angling activities also available. Join Blackburn to experience the uncrowded fly fishing and and spectacular scenery that northwest northwest Montana has to offer.
River Bend Restaurant & Saloon added in 2001, with RV Park and rental cabins on the Kootenai River.
