Blue Mountain Trail (12.2) makes a great family outing for a short, moderately difficult hike. From Libby, travel north on Highway 37 for 6 miles. Turn left on Rainy Creek Road 401 and travel 9 miles. Turn left on Road 4864 and follow 3.5 miles. Turn left at the far side of an old clear-cut (no road number) and follow trail signs to the upper left corner of the clear-cut. The trail is on the right.
