Cafe Kandahar is located at the Big Mountain Resort near Whitefish, Montana. This upscale fine dining restaurant provides a unique setting with an innovative menu and an award winning wine list garnering the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence and the Wine Enthusiast Award of Unique Distinction.

Cafe Kandahar serves modern American with classical French and traditional Louisiana influences. Executive chef/owner Andy Blanton is a graduate of the Culinary Arts Institute of Louisiana in Baton Rouge. Andy was fortunate to work for two James Beard Award winning restaurants in New Orleans, Commanders Palace and Frank Brigtsen's.

This dining experience can be described as truly unique and exquisite. Cafe Kandahar, an elevated dining experience high above the rest.

Reservations are highly recommended. Cancellation fee for certain times of the year and certain events.

Directions

Cafe Kandahar is located at the Whitefish Mountain Resort, Whitefish, Montana. Driving north into Whitefish on Highway 93, turn left onto 2nd Street, then right (2 blocks down) onto Baker Avenue. Cross over the viaduct and continue onto Wisconsin Avenue for about two miles. Turn right at the yellow flashing light onto Big Mountain Road. Follow this road for five miles. Kandahar Lodge is a brown multi-roofed lodge on the left. Cafe Kandahar's entrance is inside the Lodge.
