Lewis & Clark Library - Helena

Established in 1867, the Lewis & Clark Library is the oldest library in the state. The mission of the Lewis & Clark Library is to provide the best possible services and materials for informational, educational, cultural, or recreational use by the community. The library offers a variety of services free to the public, including book groups, Internet service, children's story time, and numerous public programs. Stop by and check your e-mail, catch up on local and world news, or participate in one of our many wonderful programs. Don't forget to visit our branch libraries in Augusta, Lincoln, and East Helena. The Lewis & Clark Library is located in historic downtown Helena at the south end of the Walking Mall. From I-15 take the exit for US Highway 12 West, follow Prospect Avenue West to Montana Avenue, turn left and proceed south to Broadway Avenue, turn right on Broadway and proceed west until Broadway dead ends at Park Avenue, turn left and proceed south for 1 block. Library will be on your left. Free parking is available in the library's parking lot.
