Virginia City RV Park - Virginia City

Virginia City RV Park is located in the historic town of Virginia City. We are conveniently located 1/2 mile east of town on Montana Highway 287 amid quiet, natural surroundings. Stop and stay on your way to Yellowstone National Park, only 85 miles away.

We offer RV sites with a variety of options and prices. We have pull-thrus with full hook-ups for up to 60 feet. There are also back in sites available with water and electric for smaller RVs up to 38 feet.

Tenters will find spacious grassy sites, modern restrooms and hot showers. Hot showers are always included in our daily rate. A sink with hot and cold running water is provided for washing dishes.

Two dry cabins with linens are also available.

Visit the unique towns of Virginia City and Nevada City. Virginia City has the most intact commercial district west of the Mississippi and is a National Landmark. Take a step back into history as you stroll along the boardwalks. Virginia City has restaurants and a variety of shops to choose from. Be sure to make time to visit the Thompson-Hickman and Madison County Museums in town. You can ride an old fire engine for a tour learning history as you ride along, or you may take a round trip on the Short Line Railroad that runs between Virginia City and Nevada City.

Entertainment is offered nightly at the Old Gilbert Brewery and the Opera House. You will find a modern cabaret show at the Gilbert Brewery while the Virginia City Players at the Opera House offer old-fashioned family entertainment.

Nevada City is located just 2 miles from the campground. This unique open-air museum has over 80 buildings from the gold rush era. Each building is fully furnished. Among the buildings to be found is a fully stocked Chinese store, one room schoolhouse, and a music hall with coin operated machines from the turn of the century.
