Description

A Fair of the Heart, old fashioned county fair in beautiful rural Montana. Live music, exhibits, contests, concessions and carousel on Saturday and Sunday. There is a Saturday parade at noon. Baked goods, auction, barbecue and barn dance. Fun for the whole family. Thursday is the In-County Rodeo with contestants from Jefferson County and Friday is the Bi-County Rodeo with contestants from Jefferson and Lewis and Clark. Saturday and Sunday is the action packed NRA-rodeo that brings the top contestants from all over to compete on the professional rodeo stock. A thrill for all rodeo fans. Good food, cold drinks and fun. Commonly asked questions and answers: Who can enter the fair or horse show? You must be a Jefferson County resident in order to enter exhibits in the fair or to enter the kid's horse show and rodeo. When are the rodeos & how much do they cost? The rodeo starts at 2 on Saturday and Sunday, and costs $6 (adults) and $3 for kids (ages 6-12). The Wrangler Roundup, on Thursday at 1, is free, and it costs $2 for the Bi-County Rodeo, Friday at 5:30 pm. How do I enter the Wrangler Roundup or the sheep riding contest? Call 225-3234 between 4 and 6 on Monday of fair & rodeo week. How do I enter the Rodeo Parade? Show up by 11:00 Saturday, in front of the Baptist Church just off Main Street, to sign up. The parade starts at noon. What are the entry deadlines? The fair booklet lists all deadlines & is available in local businesses in July. Directions

The Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo is held at the fairgrounds in Boulder. Follow main street through Boulder to Jefferson County fairground, just 0.5 mile south of town.
