It's your opportunity to enjoy the unique experience of dogsledding for a day. Drawn by a team of Alaskan and Siberian huskies, Absaroka Dogsled Treks offer you the adventure of a lifetime! Bundle up the kids and mush a six dog team accompanied by an experienced guide. Enjoy the serenity of Mill Creek Canyon as you explore the Gallatin National Forest of the Absaroka Mountains. Take it all in on the Denali trek overlooking mountain summits, topped with a buffalo steak and trout lunch grilled to perfection. Or, enjoy a picnic lunch in the Rockies on the half day Yukon trek. If time is limited, get a taste of dogsledding on the 2 hour, Tenderfoot trek. Based at Chico Hot Springs Resort, treks are available every morning except Christmas Day, end of November through March.

From Gallatin Field Airport (usually referred to as Bozeman Airport) in Belgrade, exit left onto Frontage Road toward Bozeman, to I-90, about 8 miles. Take I-90 east for 29 miles, to the second Livingston exit, Exit 333 (Yellowstone Park Exit). Turn left at the stop sign at the end of the off ramp. This puts you on Highway 89 south. Travel 22 miles to the flashing light at Emigrant; turn left. Go 1.2 miles to the stop sign, then turn left. Travel 0.5 miles and turn right, onto the Chico Road. Chico Hot Springs is 1.6 miles up the road. Absaroka Dogsled Treks operates at Chico Hot Springs Resort.
