Yellowstone Hiking Guides - Gardiner

Our expert team leads hiking adventures to the best off the beaten path areas in Yellowstone National Park.

To see wildlife, join our Lamar Valley Safari Hike. Called the Serengeti of North America, the Lamar Valley is a prime wildlife watching area. Eat a gourmet lunch while listening to the river flow by. Take in the fresh air of the open valley and mountain peaks. (3-6 miles, 7 hours, easy)

A more strenuous option leads you to 360 degree views of Yellowstone National Park, Bunsen Peak. On a clear day, you can see the Grand Tetons 120 miles away. See across the famed Yellowstone Caldera. Have a gourmet picnic with panoramic views. We often see a wide variety of wildlife on this trail. (7-10 miles, 7 hours, +-1,200ft elevation, strenuous)

Or, take a trek to Lone Star geyser. Hike through the 1988 burn and in to the old growth forest. Watch Lone Star erupt for nearly 30 minutes while eating a gourmet lunch. Then explore the Firehole River's off-the-boardwalks thermal features. See hot springs as the first explorers did. (8 miles, 7 hours, +-800ft elevation, moderate)

From large mammals to small birds, cliffs to meadows, front country to backcountry, let us show you all that Yellowstone National Park has to offer. We arrange multi-day itineraries for singles and groups, as well as multi-sport adventures.

Our hikes meet at various trailheads within Yellowstone National Park at 8 a.m.

-Lamar River Valley Trailhead in the Lamar Valley

-Bunsen Peak Trailhead five miles south of Mammoth Hot Springs

-Old Faithful Visitor Education Center on the front steps near the flag pole
