The Big Sky Ski area is a resort area, not a town. Big Sky consists of two distinct areas: the Mountain Village area and the Meadow Village area. Both areas have lodging and restaurants.
Condos in the MOUNTAIN VILLAGE area are located close to downhill skiing. The Mountain Village contains ski-in/ski-out condos and other condos within walking distance(farthest condos are six blocks from lifts). The shuttle is available if you find the distance is too far to walk.
The second area is located six miles from the ski area/lifts and called the MEADOW VILLAGE area. Condos within this area are located near the golf course. Although Meadow Village is farther away from the downhill area, it is closer to Lone Mountain Ranch with excellent cross country skiing. Condos in Meadow Village usually represent approximately 30% saving per night when compared with pricing in Mountain Village for the equivalent condo.
