Grandstreet Theatre - Helena

Grandstreet Theatre has been producing year-round community theatre for over forty-five years. In August of 1975 our first production How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying opened in the ballroom of the Placer Hotel on Grand St. in Helena, MT. One year later on the strength of that first season we were granted the use of a beautiful 1901 Richardson Romanesque stone building that had housed the Helena Public Library and was originally a Unitarian church. Since 1976 we have produced an average of 10 productions a year. In 1984 we started an after-school theatre education program that has grown to a year-round attendance of over 300 K-12 students. Grandstreet Theatre School has been nationally recognized as one of the premier theatre education institutions in the country.
