Sage Safaris aims to bring you unique and authentic hunting experiences in the sagebrush plains of northern Montana. Our location, a valley surrounded by cropland, is a sanctuary for local wildlife where hunting opportunities abound. Our hunts will offer real challenge ensuring the unpredictable nature of hunting is preserved.

Sage Safaris has an abundant and diverse wildlife population. Using our camp as a base, you will be able to access thousands of acres of sparsely populated private and public land. Hunting opportunities include Pheasant, Sharp Tailed Grouse, Hungarian Partridge, White-tail Deer, Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Canada Geese, Mallard and Pintail Ducks. The current Whitetail state record was taken less than 5 miles from our camp. Clay shooting grounds are also located on the property for your exclusive use.

From mid-May to July we also offer Ground Squirrel hunting. These small rodents also known as gophers are similar to prairie dogs and offer challenging fast paced shooting due to their small size and countless numbers. It is not uncommon to use over a thousand rounds in just a few hours.

All hunts are unguided although a beginner's first day will usually be guided to ensure safety. We encourage all our guests to be as independent as possible however, discovering the best places and methods for themselves in order to add to their experience. Guests are welcome to bring their own hunting dogs with them.

With a minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 guests per booking all packages include exclusive use of our 1,280 acres and lodging facilities. So your booking will be the only one we take during your stay. Inspired by luxury African safari camps, our on-site accommodation boasts cabin style canvas tents with real beds, wood burning stoves, and authentic Montana furnishings. The Camp is equipped with a luxury heated bathroom and a well-equipped kitchen for preparing your own meals. Should you desire; catering and shopping services can also be arranged.
