Meagher County Chamber of Commerce - White Sulphur Springs
In the Middle of the Great Outdoors, the Meagher County Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to developing and promoting trade, commerce, and tourism for the communities of Meagher County. Meagher County is located in the Russell country tourism region with Yellowstone Park to the south and Glacier National Park to the north. Highway 89, with the Kings Hill National Scenic Byway, splits Meagher County and is one of the most beautiful drives in Montana.
White Sulphur Springs, located in the Smith River valley, is a full service four-season community with excellent fishing, hunting, downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, golfing, museums, hiking and biking, camping, exploring, and public hot springs.
Castle Museum: (406)547-2324. Located in White Sulphur Springs, built by Bryon Roger Sherman in 1892. The Victorian landmark is made of hand-cut granite blocks hauled by oxen from the nearby Castle Mountains. The museum is complete with period furniture, mineral samples, clothing and artifacts from the region's past.
