H. Earl Clack Memorial Museum - Havre

The H. Earl Clack Museum has excellent dioramas illustrative of the history and development of this area. The museum offers interpretive displays correlated with archaeological findings in the nearby Wahpka Chu'gn bison kill site.

In addition to the exhibits, guided tours at the Wahpka Chu'gn archaeological site and of historic Fort Assinniboine are available. The museum also houses an exhibit of dinosaur eggs and embryos found nearby that are 75 million years old. A newer attraction is the rare skull of a stygimoloch dinosaur. It is one of only two castings in Montana and a major exhibit on the Montana Dinosaur Trail.
