DescriptionNiel Creek Trail (654) follows a primitive road up Neil Creek for first 0.5 mile. From this point trail is closed to motorized travel for last 2 miles because of the switchbacks up the ridge to Ice Cave. Good views of Musselshell Valley, Crazy and Beartooth Mountains. There are no water sources on trail. Black bears are common in lower 0.5 mile It's just three miles to the summit. Obtain a Forest Visitor's map for information on any travel restrictions.
