Tenderfoot Trail (342) provides access to some excellent trout fishing in Tenderfoot. The trail is located in the bottom along the creek. There are 23 creek crossing from the start of the trail to the Zehntner Ranch. The recommended season of use is early summer to late autumn or early winter. Do not use the trail until after low water or runoff. Use is starting to increase. View of steep walls nice in the lower portion of the canyon. Excellent 3 to 10 day trip possibilities. Majority of trail is non-motorized, except for a small portion in the middle, only about .5 mile is open to motorcycles.

Travel 10.6 miles west on Kings Hill on Forest Road 839 to Forest Road 586, then 1.2 miles west on Forest Road 586 to east side of Onion Park, then 0.5 miles north on the old Divide Road to Trail 342. The trailhead is ROG Route Location 65.
