Gary Waddingham will talk about the value of collecting as a hobby. He will show some of his collection of ancient coins and then address questions of why one might collect coins (or other things) as a hobby.Through organized, scholarly study of what his collection represents, Waddingham has become an acknowledged expert in the history and biography of these ancient times. Almost all of science begins with collection, description, and classification. A hobby such as developing a serious collection gives a child experience in observation and systematic thinking.
