For two evenings, downtown shops open their doors late to offer goodies and treats, while the entire town turns out for the kind of holiday cheer and goodwill that keeps the hearth fires burning ’til spring. Friday-night only at 5 p.m. brings the Fallen but not Forgotten Blue Light Ceremony, a short service to remember all fallen members of Montana Law Enforcement, at the Elks Lodge, 114 N. Broadway. A Community Lantern Walk starts at 5:30, followed by the 13th annual Blade Parade at 6 p.m. with Santa leading the way. Both begin at the Carnegie Library and continue down Broadway. Alte Kameraden Band plays at the Carbon County Steakhouse from 6-8 p.m. and Red Lodge dancers perform at Red Lodge Drug at 6 p.m., with more performers TBA.
